California Real Estate Broker: The pinnacle of real estate licenses.
This license allows an individual to operate their own real estate brokerage or to broker loans. License is under the California Dept. of Real Estate. There are 8 required college courses including appraisal, property management, real estate finance, business law, real estate practice, ethics, trust fund management, and accounting. Passing the California Brokers License Exam is required.

ABR Designation: Accredited Buyers Representative
The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council ("REBAC") of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.

CRS Designation: Certified Residential Specialist
This encompasses the completion of required courses of study entailing in-depth, the mechanics of the real estate profession, and outstanding achievement of successful real estate sales experience. The CRS Designation is recognized as the highest in the industry, which is held by only 2% of all real estate professionals in the USA. Being a CRS also provides networks to other top real estate professionals, and continuing education benefits.

e-PRO Certification: Internet Professional
It is sponsored by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS® and is specifically designed to help real estate professionals thrive in the competitive world of online real estate. In addition, the e-PRO Certification Course is geared to ensure continued success in online real estate after the course has been completed and certification earned, by online participation in the e-PRO Community and the e-PRO Referral Network. Less than 1% of all Realtors hold this certification.

GRI Designation: Graduate Realtor's Institute
Furthered education in the field of real estate covering courses such as Trust Fund Management, Agency and Ethics, Commercial Real Estate, 1031 Exchanges, Buyers and Sellers Representation, International Real Estate and Relocation.

Past Career Experience…All the pieces of life make us who we are today.
Marilyn has worked for 15 years in the Interior Design field, and eventually owned her own Interior Design Consulting business. This past experience allows Marilyn to assist with the staging and preparation of a home for sale.

For another 15 years Marilyn owned a company called "American Homestay." She was the US Program Director for placement of foreign students with Host Families, and local educational institutions. Her international background has provided a strong foundation for clients that are relocating locally or from another part of the world. She has a great understanding and affinity for foreign clientele.

Real Estate Experience…
During Marilyn's 8 years of residential real estate sales, she took on the position of a Relocation Counselor for the Relocation Dept. of Coldwell Banker, Northern California, located within their headquarters in San Ramon, California. After one year her love of real estate sales returned her to the field, but the experience of Relocation adds to her growing wealth of knowledge in the real estate industry.
